The simple things
This morning i decided that instead of hiding from the incessant rain, we would embrace it instead.
This decision was probably helped by us having received Sebs first ever pair of wellies this week. I had been searching high and low for some really nice quality wellies that were available in a small size as Seb has pretty tiny feet especially considering he is tall!
A friend recommended these wellies from Jojo Maman Bebe and they are exactly what i was looking for. Good quality, not plastic looking and no characters on them as i'm not a fan of characters on clothing. At £14 they are on the expensive side for toddler wellies i guess but then again they are lovely. So i ordered them along with some welly socks.
We embraced the weather this morning by going out for a walk after breakfast. Seb is still relatively new to going out without a pushchair and he loves the freedom. We walked up to the park, i taught him to splash in puddles, Seb sat in some puddles and knocked on peoples doors as we walked past(theres some houses directly onto the footpath) and sang 'Its raining, its pouring' while we walked. He loved touching the wet walls and watching the water pour down drains.
When we got home i had a very rosy cheeked happy little boy :) and a very wet mummy.
Its easy to forget that the simple things are so entertaining for our little ones.
