Project Kitchen Table!

Since we moved i've been scouring local selling sites for a second hand table and chairs to upcycle as we only had small 2 seater table from our old flat I know Seb will soon want to be out of his highchair(i'm happy to keep him in it as long as he wants!) so we needed something bigger but not too big as i didn't want it to take over our kitchen.

Nothing turned up on the sites that was suitable so we ended up buying a new pine table and chairs from an ebay shop, it was the perfect size for us. Of course i didn't want to leave it pine so decided we were going to paint it. I did some research and read nothing but praise for Annie Sloan Chalk Paints so i took the plunge and ordered some along with soft wax to use once painted.
I wanted it to blend in with my beloved Roberts radio Betty, but figured all pink would be too much. So we ordered Old White paint for the table and Henrietta for the chairs.
 First layer of paint!
We did 2 coats of paint and then a coat of soft wax and here it is, my lovely new kitchen table. I'm so pleased with how it turned out and it matches Betty perfectly! I managed to get some placemats in the John Lewis clearance for just £1 that match in perfectly too. I will be getting an oilcloth to cover the table rather then letting Seb loose eating spag bol on the white paint.
The fourth chair is all painted up and looking pretty in our bedroom until it's needed.
There is also quite a bit of leftover paint just waiting for another project.
