Hands up who likes cake?
I imagine pretty much everyone answers yes to that question, my hand was definitely up!
We were sent one of Bakerdays gluten free letterbox cakes to try out.
First up, i want to say how lovely the presentation is. The cake arrives in a strong letterbox sized box. When you open the box you are greeted with a very cute tin, a little card, and a pack containing a few balloons, candles and a party blower. Open the tin and there you have your very own cake! The website has designs for every occasion and you can also design your own.
As our wedding anniversary is coming up, i chose an anniversary design and added our names. The letterbox cake is said to serve 1-2 people, i would say you could easily get 4 good sized portions from the cake.
The cake itself is lovely, moist and tasty, like good cake should be. It was perfect with a nice cup of tea.
It was a lovely treat for us both, the idea of getting a cake through your letterbox is lovely and i can imagine it cheering you up after a rubbish day. It's great that there is a gluten free option available but if you don't fancy that you can also get madeira, chocolate or fruit cake.
The letterbox cake retails at £14.99 for more information and to see the other cakes on offer visit Bakerdays
