If you're anything like us, you will end up with some rather ripe bananas left in your fruit bowl at the end of the week, instead of throwing them out, try making a lovely banana loaf instead.
I found this recipe online, it is a Mary Berry recipe though i added chocolate chips into mine as an extra treat.
100g softened butter
175g caster sugar
225g self raising flour
2 ripe bananas
1tsp baking powder
Small bag of milk chocolate chips
Pre heat your oven to around 180oC
Peel and mash your bananas then add to a mixing bowl along with all of the other ingrediants. Beat together until well mixed. Spoon the mixture into an oiled loaf tin and pop into the oven for around an hour when it should be risen and a lovely golden colour(your kitchen will also smell lovely!). Leave to cool and slice to serve.
