Sixteen weeks pregnant

I posted about my worries about finding out baby’s gender. Having the private scan was a bit strange, they were very nice but it was over so fast.I will admit i was upset when i found out baby is a boy, not because i don’t want a boy, simply because i am saying goodbye to my chance of ever having a little girl and all the things that come with that. However of course I am over the moon to be welcoming another lovely healthy baby boy.

At this stage the baby is around the size of an avocado, 10cm from crown to rump and is ready for a big growth spurt over the next few weeks.
My 16 week midwife appointment went okay, it was a stand in midwife again. Everything was fine with my bloods and I got to hear the heartbeat which is always lovely. Because I had issues with the blood pressure in my last pregnancy she has suggested that I take asprin this time around, I am not sure about this so I am going to take a bit of time to read into it first.
Generally I am still feeling fine(though full of cold), I feel really cautious because in the back of my mind I am still kind of waiting for the awful sickness I had with Alex to make an appearance. My love for all things cheese has eased for now, I don’t have much of an appetite at all if i’m honest. My skin is so dry and itchy and I actually scratched my skin until it bled this week, I am trying to keep on top of it by using coconut oil to moisturise but I think I must scratch in the night, hoping this delight is over soon!
