Schwartz Mulled Wine Spice

One of my favourite Christmas drinks is delicious warming mulled wine, it instantly makes me feel festive. Being six months pregnant, I had resigned myself to a mulled wine free festive season until I was sent some Schwartz Mulled Wine Spice to try.
Schwartz Mulled Wine Spice contains allspice, orange peel, cloves and cassia and it perfect for use with red wine but can also be used with non alcoholic wine or with cranberry juice, ideal for those of us who won't be drinking. I decided to try the spice with some cranberry juice.

It is really simple to use, simply pour 1 litre of cranberry juice into a pan and add 2 of the spice sachets, heat until just below boiling point and keep at this heat for 10 minutes, remove the spice sachets and simply serve with sliced oranges.
The smell while heating is just gorgeous, the house smelt so christmassy. And the taste?  Well it is lovely and warming, the spices work really well with cranberry juice.  I think you could easily make this in the slow cooker too if you were having people over. I will definitely be drinking some of this while I cook on Christmas day in place of my usual glass of wine.
As well as Mulled Wine Spice,  there is also Schwartz Mulled Cider Spice, both are available now with an RRP of £1.78 for 6 sachets.
