Happy Monday Meal Planners! I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend, we had a very lazy Saturday and stayed in all day, yesterday we went to see The Good Dinosaur at the cinema(I cried) and then a naughty McDonald's lunch followed by a visit to The Hepworth gallery. I am longing for warmer days so we can take picnics on our days out again.
Last week's meals went well, we ate pretty much everything though in a different order, I didn't get around to making the Welsh Onion Cake as I ran out of time so we had cheese and onion mash with the same ingredients instead. I did make some sweet potato, squash and chilli soup, and a huge lemon cake which was lovely. I have also been eating lots of cherries.
This week is a bit of a fun one, Chinese New Year today, Shrove Tuesday tomorrow and then Valentines Day on Sunday. So lots going on to keep us busy, Tuesday we will be having savoury pancakes for lunch and then sweet ones after dinner in the evening. I am planning on some Valentines biscuits with the boys towards the end of the week too.
Monday Satay Chicken with noodles
Tuesday Pasta in a chunky tomato and pepper sauce with chorizo sausages
Wednesday Fish Finger Sandwiches (Alexs turn to choose!) with salad
Thursday Pasta Pesto and peas
Friday Takeaway for the grown ups(I'm hoping for Chinese!), the boys are eating at nanny's
Saturday Homemade turkey burgers, curly fries and some kind of veg
Sunday Roast chicken, yorkshire puds, stuffing, roast potatoes and veg
