Storytime Magazine

My children like many, love to look at magazines and as a parent I believe in providing a variety of reading materials, however quality magazines for children can be hard to find.

Storytime Magazine is a children's magazine with a difference, it is the UK's only story magazine for kids and it is advert free, hurrah!

We were sent a couple of copies to take a look at for ourselves and we were impressed straight away. The first thing I noticed is that the magazine is printed on high quality paper meaning it can be kept and read again and again, this is a huge plus point for me, I hate spending several pounds on a throwaway item so the fact that this will last is fantastic.

Inside the magazine is packed full of stories from well known favourite fairy tales like Little Red Riding Hood alongside new stories all with beautiful and engaging illustrations. These stories vary in length and encourage reading for pleasure, i think the magazine format is a great way to engage children who are perhaps reluctant to sit and read a book.  Alongside the stories are poems, puzzles, games and colouring pages, there is so much to keep children occupied. The Storytime website also has a section of free printables to go alongside the magazines.

We have really enjoyed our issues of Storytime,  the magazines are engaging for both boys, Sebastian is able to practice is reading, Alexander can look at the pictures and be read too.

The magazines cover price of £3.99 is comparable with other childrens magazines out there and you can subscribe to make it cheaper.  This would be a lovely birthday or Christmas gift for a child.
Storytime are also kindly offering upto 35% discount for Home Educators, to take advantage either click on the direct link or enter the code HOMEED at the checkout.
