Little Passports Review and Giveaway

As many readers will know that we are a home educating family and I am always keen to make learning fun and hands on for my boys. Little Passports certainly ticks those boxes, founded by two mums back in 2009 Little Passports is a monthly subscription box designed to help children learn about the world. I was really excited to be given the chance for the boys to review a 3 month subscription.

Little Passports offer two different box options depending the age of your child. Both options follow two friends on their journey around the world and you are introduced to them in the first box.

Early Explorers Aimed at children aged 3-5 years. Each month there is a world theme (17 in total) including landmarks, oceans and celebrations, each package comes with stickers, an activity booklet and souvenirs.

World Explorers Aimed at children aged 6-10 years. Each month there is a new country to discover including Japan, Russia and Brazil and each package comes with souvenirs and activities plus access to online games.

We received the Early Explorers parcel. I was really quite excited to receive the first box, our first box came around 4 weeks after signing up( you are to allow up to 6 weeks), I hadn't told the boys it was coming and they were really eager to see what was inside their parcel.

Little Passports review, suitcase

The first box is named The Traveller Kit and is an introduction to the whole subscription.  We received;  a small sturdy suitcase, a large wall map of the world, an activity book, stickers and a luggage tag along with a letter introducting us to Mia, Max and their dog Toby who will be sharing get their journey with us.
Alex and Seb are 3 and 5 and like most younger children they love stickers so the first thing they did was decorate the suitcase with them. They then turned their attentions to the world map, we have a globe at home so they are familiar with countries and continents but they loved seeing it in such a large format and Seb is particular was interested in the different continents. The map also got us talking about how the world is mainly covered by water. I can see us taking this out to look at regularly.

The boys worked through the activity book together and there were parts that suited both of their ability levels. It got us discussing various parts of the world such as the barrier reef which they have seen photos of as their grandparents visited last year.

The boys enjoyed The Traveller Kit, it is a great way toget younger children thinking more about the wider world arojnd us. We are very excited for next month's box to arrive and that will be our first themed box which is all about Landmarks. I can't wait to see what is inside! Why not check back next month as I will be reviewing once it arrives.

Little Passports subscriptions vary in price depending on which age option you choose and how long you subscribe for, all the information is available to view on the subscription package page. You are charged monthly and you are able to cancel at anytime.  After your first box which can take up to 6 weeks to arrive, the subsequent parcels ship mid month.
