The Baby and Toddler Show at EventCity Manchester

On Friday, Phil, Barney and I headed over to The Baby and Toddler Show at Event City Manchester. I may be a mum of three but it was the first time I had been to this type of event and I was looking forward to seeing what the event has to offer.

I will admit to being a little daunted when we first stepped inside, it was very busy and there seemed to be SO much to see! There are guides available at the entrance to help, along with vouchers for a couple of goodie bags (yay!). I wanted to see everything on offer so we worked our way around the whole show. I *think* we saw everything, we certainly came away with plenty of free samples and information leaflets.

A big draw of the show is that there is a whole area of prams and car seats where all of the big name brands were represented. You can test out the prams and chat to the people from the brands who are able to give you all the information you need plus the deals on offer at the show are the best you will find, fantastic if you are expecting your first baby. I was of course drawn to the amazingly colourful Cosatto stand, I absolutely love this brand, Barney totally needs a rocket print pushchair!

I was pleased to see that baby wearing was also well represented at the show with various brands being represented as well as fittings being offered and a sling library which allowed you to borrow a sling while you looked around the show. This is we such a brilliant idea. I took our new carrier to use and was so glad that I did as there were lots of people and pushchairs, baby wearing made it far easier to get around.

There were stands from various feeding brands, independent midwives who were giving out advice, St John's Ambulance giving out first aid information and so much more. I was very interested to see the smaller brands at the show, I do love to buy from smaller businesses when I can and there were some stand a offering gorgeous clothing, homewares,  books and interesting new products. I was particularly excited to spot the Funky Giraffe stand after working with them earlier this year and I took the chance to add a few more bibs to our collection. I was very restrained and the bibs and a beautiful blanket from Toffee Moon were the only items I picked up on the day but I will definitely be checking out the websites of some of the other small brands we spotted there.
