The October Degustabox arrived a couple of weeks ago and it's time for me to review the boxnand offer my readers a fabulous discount code for a huge £7 off your first box!! If you haven't head of Degustabox it is a monthly subscription box bringing food and drinks to your doorstop.
This month's Degustabox was definitely my favourite that we've had for a while, everything was suitable for us and we thoroughly enjoyed tasting the products. If you fancy trying out next month's box for just £5.99 simply sign up and enter the code 0TDCQ at the checkout.
Heinz Minion Pasta We eat pasta at least twice a week and the boys love trying out the different shapes, I have to admit I love a novelty pasta and so these minion shaped pasta pieces really appealed to me and the boys too. They are also 50% wholewheat.
Heinz Pasta Sauce To go with the Minion pasta we received this smooth tomato pasta sauce. This sauce has no added sugar or salt and is great on it's own with the pasta or you can easily add extra veg or meat. We all enjoyed the taste and it made for a really quick dinner, so handy to keep in the cupboard.
Levi Roots Coat n Cook This easy to use Smokey Barbecue sauce is so versatile, simply pour over your meat of choice and oven bake, no need to marinade. I have a feeling this sauce would work well in the slow cooker too. I used this on some chicken drumsticks and the result was delicious, we had it as a lunch but you could easily bulk it out with rice or similar. Also available in Ginger Beer and Jerk flavours.
Brioche Pasquier Pitch Choco Bar Oh my gosh these are amazing, a yummy brioche roll with a chocolate bar in the middle! These are so yummy, a great breakfast or mid afternoon treat. Another fab products from a brand I love.
Hersheys Cookies n Creme American chocolate and sweets have become hugely popular in recent years, we love trying out items from across the pond. This bar of smooth creme with crunchy cookie pieces went down really well with Phil and I.
IAM Souper A totally new brand to me, we received 2 of their high protein soups in Supergreens and Pulled Pork and Jalapeño. I kept this for Phill to take for his nightshifts at work as they are portable, filling and easy to heat in the microwave and he said they were very filling and a change from sandwiches or pasta.
JimJams Chocolate Spread This spread has reduced sugar, and is gluten free and diabetic friendly making it a great choice for many. The boys have enjoyed this on pancakes and in a banana and chocolate oaty milkshake that I whipped up which they LOVED! I am definitely going to add this to some baking, perhaps banana bread.
Beloved Date Date Hearts After enjoying the Beloved Date nectar we received in a previous box (check out the banana and date bread I made) I was pleased to see these. My boys are always hungry so I like to find healthy snacks for them and these date hearts are ideal. They are cold pressed and contain no rubbish and also count as 1 of your 5 a day. There are 4 flavours available and are a bargain with an RRP of just 75p.
Robinsons Squash'd Orange A classic drink that we all grew up with in a new format. These mini super concentrate drinks are so handy, great for travel or taking to work they taste as good as the full sized bottled squash.
Maggi Fusian Noodles Fiery Sweet Chilli These noodles bring the flavour of Asia to your kitchen in just 4 minutes. I am not a fan of overly fiery things so Phil has these and said they were a nice filling meal and would be a a good side for a main meal.
Yushoi Snapea Rice Sticks Made of green peas and rice these snacks are a great way to enjoy snacking without resorting to unhealthy choices. We have tried Yushoi products before and find that they are a great alternative to crisps and are tasty too.
So that was the October Degustabox, you can also take a look at what we received in previous boxes for an idea of what to expect if you fancy subscribing.
You can also find Degustabox on Facebook , Twitter or Instagram.
