For Aisha Baby Food Review and Hamper Giveaway
When weaning I feel it is very important to expose your children to a wide variety of flavours. For Aisha is a great range of baby foods that will help you do just that. Barney was recently sent a selection of products including the newly revamped Stage 3 range which I will be reviewing today. There is also the chance to win a lovely hamper of For Aisha products.
The first thing that strikes me about For Aisha is the colourful packaging. It totally sums up the flavours within! From Jamaican Jerk Chicken to the new Date and Apricot Tagine with Lamb this is a baby range with a difference! There are so many delicious meals available, it just proves that baby food doesn't need to be bland. The range is Halal and made using natural ingredients with no added salt or sugar.
The For Aisha range comprises of Stage 2 pouches aimed at babies 7 months+ and the revamped Stage 3 tray meals aimed at babies and toddlers aged 10 months+.
At 16 months Barney is most definitely in the toddler stage of weaning so for him Stage 3 is ideal. Like his brothers he really enjoys his food and will eat pretty much anything I put in front of him which makes life so much easier! We usually eat as a family but there are occasions where that doesn't happen and these meals are perfect to keep in the cupboard for those times.
You can heat the Stage 3 meals in the microwave or in a pan. It is very simple and quick both ways. The meal size is a generous 190g and it is able to be eaten from the new tray style packaging.
The food is thick and textured, as you can see below(chicken and sweet potato curry) there are chunks of food. I added a little cooked rice for even more texture and it looks very similar to a curry I would make from scratch.
Barney is good at feeding himself with a spoon and fork and enjoys the independence this gives him. The Chicken and Sweet Potato Curry was easy enough for him to manage thanks to the thick texture. It stayed on his spoon which is always a bonus! He definitely enjoyed his curry and ate the lot.
As a mum who wants to feed my children a good variety of foods I am impressed with the For Aisha range. The convenience of the meals combined with the amazing range of flavours and quality ingredients are a real selling point for me.
The new For Aisha Stage 3 tray meals are available exclusively from Asda now. You can read more about For Aisha on their website.
