Five Family Friendly Festivals in Yorkshire 2018

One of the things i would love to do this year is go to a festival with the boys. I've been looking at what is on offer so I thought i would share five family friendly festivals in Yorkshire this summer. Whether you have toddlers or teens these festivals will tick your boxes.

Underneath The Stars 20-22nd July 2018
Underneath The Stars is a music and arts festival near Barnsley suitable for the whole family. This years line up over hasn't been released as yet but previous years have included Newton Faulkner and Kate Rusby. For kids the festival has included outdoor theatre, circus skills and dry stone walling.

Staxtonbury 6-8th July 2018
Take the whole family along to Staxtonbury at Scarborough to celebrate the festivals tenth anniversary. With five stages including a kids stage, rides, bouncy castles and free activities including football, tennis and a kids disco there is plenty to do.

Withfest 3-5th August 2018
Withfest is the biggest free festival of its kind in Yorkshire and is open to all ages. Held in Withensea there looks set to be some great tribute acts on the main stage including Muse, The Pet Shop Boys and UB40.  There is a chill out zone complete with creativit area for the children.

Tribfest 16-19th August 2018
Tribfest in Driffield, East Yorkshire is the summers biggest tribute band festival. With tributes to Bowie, Meatloaf and Bon Jovi among many mnay others it looks set to be a great weekend. There is a kids zone open over the weekend with music, games and talent shows.

Deer Shed Festival 20-22nd July 2018
Held in Topcliffe, North Yorkshire the Deer Shed Festival is now in it's ninth year. This years headliners are the amazing Goldfrap! As well as the music there is plenty for children to enjoy including comedy, science, crafts and sports. For the really little ones there is an NCT tent offering sterilising, sling hire and even bathtime.
