10 Things to do in West Yorkshire This Easter

Hoppy Easter! If you are looking for ideas to keep the family busy over the next few days, here are my top 10 things to do in West Yorkshire this Easter weekend. Fingers crossed for dry weather.

Room on the Broom Trail If you have small children a visit to Anglers Country Park is a must. This weekend you can decorate an egg or make a wooden Easter bunny, then follow the Room on the Broom Trail, spot the sculptures and splash in puddles. See our visit here.

National Coal Mining Museum It's Easter at the pit. Visit for an Easter Egg Hunt, crafts, shadow puppet show and learn about local history. Don't forget to visit the pit ponies and take a pit stop at the fab new adventure playground.

Meanwood Valley Urban Farm Spring is the best time to visit a farm. This Saturday why not head to Meanwood Valley Urban Farm to take part in their Easter egg hunt and other activities. See our visit last summer.

Yorkshire Sculpture Park One of my favourite places in Yorkshire. Get outside in the fresh air, blow away the cobwebs and take in some art without walls. The perfect place to burn off the Easter chocolate.

Lotherton Hall Explore the Mad Hatters trail, enjoy springtime crafts, seed planting and visit the penguins, flamingos and recently arrived tapirs.

Shibden Park One of our favourite parks thanks to it's minature railway, land train and boating lake. This Easter Coffee Culture the parks cafe is running an egg hunt with a chocolatey surprise at the end.

Nostell Priory Visit the priory this weekend to take part in this years Cadburys Egg Hunt. Enjoy challenges and games along the way.

The Rainbow Factory Join Peter Rabbit on the hunt for his cousin the Easter Bunny. Bonnet making,  story telling and a chocolate treat for all paying adults.

Fairburn Ings If you fancy some wildlife watching head to Fairburn Ings this weekend, the kids can take part in the Easter Discovery Quiz Trail and receive a sticker for their efforts.

Royal Armouries For something totally different this weekend head to the Royal Armouries where eight of the worlds best knights will be battling it out in the Easter tournament.

If you already have plans this weekend but still want to take part in an egg hunt head to Pontefract Castle on 5th April for a dragon egg hunt, crafts and games.
